Our Students

Adult Basic Literacy students lack basic reading skills. They may not have finished high school or they may have a learning disability. They are seeking help to improve their reading skills to be able to fill out a job application, get their GED, enhance their job skills, get their driver’s license, and read to their kids.
English Language Learners (ELL) are internationals from a wide variety of countries who may be refugees, college students, families of college faculty, or ethnic church clergy. Learning English breaks the barriers of communication, opens doors to new job opportunities, and community involvement.
All tutors find volunteering extremely rewarding. They develop a special bond with students who are so appreciative.
